Illustrator & 2D Animator As a Character Illustrator, you are responsible for understanding and creating characters with personalities and personal traits who are able to portray a concept or a story, Imagining the character from different perspectives is of utmost necessity as that gives life, definition, shows action and makes the characters recognizable Roles & Responsibilities -Understanding the concept with the team, designers and developers to properly portray the look of characters, their style, personalities and the roles they play -Being able to create 2D versions of the characters and creating various versions of them -Being able to understand the genre of the game, the scenes and effects -Being able to give each character a unique appeal, style, purpose, and distinctive body language -Should be able to replicate human like traits which would be an addictive and engaging edge for the audience -Being able to create a visual concept of the characters and the overall animation of the characters -Creation of model sheets, showing the angles from different angles & perspectives with different expressions -Being able to understand and create Storyboards -Adhering to production schedules and being able to deliver quality characters in time -Should be well versed with 2D animation and be able to create scenes -Proficiency in the usage of after effects and detailing of characters Qualifications -Very strong grip on the concepts of Web 3.0 like Metaverse, Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, NFTs etc. -1-3+ years proven work experience in character illustrator and animator (2d character designer, illustrations, scene creation and animating it in after effects Illustrator, Photoshop, after effects) -Character designing, conceptualising, and being able to give the character life -Knowledge of anatomy, zoology, costuming, physical settings and a history to the characters -Visual storytelling skills -Proficiency in softwares like Illustrator, Photoshop, and usage of -After Effects -Advanced understanding of visual language like colour, texture, dimension, scale, shades, composition, spatial awareness, etc -Technical Drawing Skills -Good Communication skills -Being able to deliver the characters and scenes as per the production schedule
